Alternate Reality

Today is the fifth anniversary of September 11th, 2001 – when our national focus turned toward preparing for future terrorist attacks. But it is also the 100th anniversary of a much more empowering national movement led by Mohandas (Mahatma) Gandhi. One hundred years ago, the leader from India convened a meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa where more than 3000 attendees pledged to disobey proposed racially degrading legislation - despite the consequences - without using violence. They won.

Share within your circle of influence that September 11th can also stand as a reminder of the power of uniting for a positive goal – we can unite and prepare for peace and prosperity rather than for threats we cannot control.
