Securing Heavy Objects

Secure heavy objects to wall studs (if possible) or to other sturdy structures. Hazard mitigation braces and straps come with a variety of attaching devices such as Velcro, eyelets/grommets and industrial strength glue/mounting tape.

Objects to secure include:

• Bookshelves
• Free-standing cabinets
• Entertainment centers
• Televisions and monitors
• Computers
• Printers, faxes and copiers

Remember: Secure strapping not only prevents injury and property damage, but it can also deter theft and vandalism.
