Share the name and contact information of your designated PIO and their backup. In an emergency or a disaster, a trained PIO can get the right message out, diffuse rumors or speculation, and make sure your team is positioned to make the best of the situation. All media calls, external communication messages and internal information bullets should be handled by the PIO.
